NT police officer 'may have committed offences' in connection with partner's death, coroner finds

 The Northern Territory coroner has referred the death of a woman involved in an alleged abusive relationship with a serving police officer to prosecutors and the police commissioner, and criticised the handling of multiple reports of domestic violence in the years before her death.

An inquest heard 17 reports of disturbances and violence were made to NT Police over five years before the woman, referred to as HD, died as a result of head injuries in March last year.
