More than 2,500 invoices for NT quarantine facilities like Howard Springs are still unpaid

 Thousands of travellers have left the Northern Territory's quarantine facilities without paying the fees required for the stay, with the outstanding accounts so far adding up to $6.3 million.

Data provided by NT Health shows that, as at the end of September, there were 2,544 outstanding invoices not paid, despite not having agreed payment plans.

The cost of 14 days of supervised quarantine is $2,500 per individual or $5,000 per family group of two or more people at the Territory's quarantine facilities in Darwin and Alice Springs.
